Where can I find older Star Wars Lego sets?

I have recently gotten into collecting some of the Star Wars Lego vehicles and playsets. I'm disappointed that some of the coolest sets seem to be "retired." I've looked online at places like eBay, but the prices are ridiculous. is there a cheaper place to find some of the older sets?
